To My Dear Lost Friend…

I know you can’t hear me.

By the time my voice reaches you,

you’ll be too far away to return.

The distance imposed by my heart

grows further every passing tear,

every passing heartstring plucked,

eventually the music fades into the

empty vacuum between our hearts.

Space converges at the request

of pure human souls

- but unfortunately for us -

there will only ever be

one of those between us both.

One sad cry from a lonely heart falls short,

echoing into the void.

Only two can resonate into something greater

– power enough to shape time and space.

It lies within us all.

Only when god recognizes god can it be known.

Though I see the god in you,

you will never see anything besides the devil in me.
